Love the skin you’re in! My skincare routine

Here’s what I’m looking for in my skincare routine… uncomplicated, effective, long-lasting. I don’t have time to need to change things or add extra things through the day. Most of the time, I’m pretty tired at night and want something simple. So, when it comes to my skincare routine, I need my daytime routine to compliment a simple nighttime routine.

Here are the products I use and why.

Clearasil ultra rapid action scrub

I use this scrub twice a week to keep my skin clear and feeling cleansed and fresh. I enjoy a scrub but obviously don’t like to rub too hard on my skin. This is a great scrub, and the product works through the day to keep my skin nice and clear. It’s fast-acting, and with my fast-paced lifestyle, I need quick and easy!

Sukin Super Greens detoxifying facial scrub

The Sukin detoxifying facial scrub is an excellent addition to my routine. Sukin is a brand that’s environmentally friendly, vegan and cruelty-free with a price point that will make the bank account pretty happy. This product leaves my skin really soft and smelling lovely and fruity. The products in the scrub are all about creating a naturally glowing skin. I make sure I’m really relaxed when I use this product to get the absolute most out of it.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

This serum goes on my skin before my moisturisers, morning and night. It’s a powerful anti-blemish formula that’s best patted on rather than rubbed in. I recommend a patch test before using it on your face to make sure it’s suitable for your skin. If you find your skin is sticky after you’ve put it on you’ve probably used too much. Make sure you leave it to soak in and follow it with a gentle moisturiser because it will dry your skin out.

The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone

This product compliments my Niacinamide serum really well and is essential for my nightly routine. The product is basically high vitamin C levels suspended in a light-weight silicone, so you’re able to get the full benefits of vitamin C on your skin. It takes time for the skin to adjust to this product, but I add it to my nightly routine, and I wake up with bright, clear skin. Don’t use too much of this on the skin as it’s not necessary. Make sure to check the product reviews and the directions.

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic serum

This serum is the anti-aging piece to my skin routine puzzle. It’s so good for reducing the appearance of wrinkles and firming up my skin. Like most of my products, this one is best applied in small amounts. I put three drops on my face and then gently rub in. With sensitive skin, it’s important to find a product that doesn’t need heavy applications, and this is one of the reasons I love this one so much. It goes after the cleanser and toner and is best used on dry skin.

SkinCeuticals Ultra Facial Defense

Every daytime skincare routine must finish with a strong sunscreen. There’s no point spending time and money on skin products and procedures if you’re not protecting your skin against the sun. The SkinCeuticals Facial Defense is hands down the best way to protect your skin without having to put sunscreen on there that’s just not designed for the face and neck area.

This cream has a lovely satin finish to it and doesn’t clog the pores. There’s really nothing worse than putting so much effort into having light creams on my face only finishing it with a heavy sunscreen. This cream is great for mature skin and suits normal, oily or dry skin. You can use this easily under your makeup or on its own.

It really is the all-rounder and best finisher for a complete skincare routine.

Have you tried any of these products? I’d love to hear your thoughts on them too! Let me know in the comments below and if there’s anything you think I should try, drop it below!

Love & blessings
